Kendall’s Artistic Inspirations
Desire
My designs for the “Desire” range are inspired by objects that have either been given to me or that I have collected in my travels over the years. I’m not a person that hordes things or likes clutter and fuss but these pieces each have their own story and are important to me, hence the name “Objects of My Desire”.
Waterlillies
I have always loved waterlillies. I think I have always been drawn to their mystical, magical quality . The fact that they rise and open at the break of dawn, stand proudly on their bed of glistening water throughout the day and close to sleep at sunset, somehow gives them a personality of their own. I have a large pond in my yard filled with them in every colour and find inspiration in their beauty.
Girlfriends
The inspiration for this series is my own “girlfriends”, all are party girls at heart! Fun and frivolity is our aim believing that “life is an occasion and we should rise to it”!
